In a recent blog post I talked about protein and the importance of it for our bodies. I am always looking for new ways to get more plant-based proteins in my diet and reduce my meat intake to once or twice per week.
This Almond Protein Smoothie is packed with protein and healthy fats. When I drink it, it tastes like I’m drinking something terrible for me because it’s THAT GOOD. It’s satiating and satisfying. Sweet, salty, silky, and rich, this is great for a protein-packed breakfast or a post-workout smoothie to feed your muscles.
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 banana
- 2 Tbsp. almond butter
- 2 dates, pitted
- 1 Tbsp. hemp hearts
- 1 Tbsp. collagen peptides
- ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until the dates are broken down and the texture is smooth.
