Growing up, I remember my dad making wine spritzers for my mom on special occasions. Those spritzers included white wine, Sprite, and lots of ice. There were a few times when I was able to sneak a sip of the drink and I remember it tasting refreshing and bubbly.
It was my dad’s birthday recently, so I wanted to re-create the wine spritzer that he’s famous for, but re-create it in a healthier (nonalcoholic) way.
Green tea has a bitterness like wine does so it’s absolutely perfect for this recipe! And what’s a spritzer without some bubbles? Sparkling water does the trick. I also added a few other goodies in there 🙂
