If you take a look at salad dressings sold in the grocery store, they are loaded with ingredients. Most of which are unhealthy ingredients such as canola oil, soybean oil, sugar, and additives that aren’t needed.
Making your own dressing allows you to control what you put in it. It’s fresh, healthy, and more cost effective!
I love this shallot dressing on a mixed greens and beet salad. It’s to die for.
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup raw apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 shallot, finely diced
- 4 tsp dijon mustard
- 2 tsp raw honey
- 1 tsp Himalayan pink salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Whisk all ingredients together until dressing has emulsified.
- Store in an airtight mason jar in the refrigerator.
- Keeps for 1-2 weeks.
